trash the dress-ish shoot.
A couple months ago I was searched out by an awesome Denver photographer, Kristy Rowe of moodeous photography. She had found some dead links on my web site and while most people would of never said anything she did, and she also introduced me to a whole new realm of Denver Photography. It is a group called MH (Mile High) Photographers, and it is an open forum, free to all, and very well organized by some incredible people. After being involved on the online forums and discussion boards for last few months, I had the chance to finally meet some of them yesterday. They had set up a “Trash the Dress” shoot, and for those of you who have never heard anything of the sort, it is basically a bridal couple that gets married and instead of keeping the dress in a box, they go out and “trash it”. Roll around on the ground, jump in water… really the sky is the limit. This allows them to get some very unique portraits made after the wedding day, and after the hype of wearing the beautiful gown wears off. Yesterday there were three brides, two high school students and an young couple that all graciously gave up their time to come out and model for 30+ photographers. I shot over 600 images, there are so many I like, but below are my favorites. Keep in mind, if you or someone you know wants to “Trash your dress” or get more modeling experience the group is looking to something like this once a month or so. Make sure to contact me if your interested!
